Vehicles in Farmville

For farmers whose fields are starting to get too large for them to efficiently farm, they can use the  helpful tools that Farmville developer Zynga has added to the game. You may need to consider purchasing a vehicle if you are starting to get bored of clicking every square of your farm numerous times just to plant, plow, and harvest. Vehicles allow you to work four times quicker than your usual speed, offering you more time to appreciate your field and less time clicking away. You should definitely think about purchasing a vehicle if you have expanded several times and have massive plantation.

Available Vehicles

Farmville gives you a choice between the following vehicles: Harvester, Seeder, Red Tractor plus a Pink Tractor. You will want one of every kind if you have a large farm. Each of these vehicles will cost you 30,000 in Farm coins, so budget wisely. Select the vehicle that lets you spend as little time as possible doing the task you don’t like the most if you only have enough coins for one.

What Vehicles Can Do For You

These great vehicles that you’ve just bought can help you plow, seed, or harvest four times faster than before. Each click you plant, harvest, or plow 4 squares simultaneously because they affect a 2×2 square of field. Your field must be appropriate for this template, so make sure to create a large square or rectangular fields. These will be the simplest and most time-efficient to work with.

Their Weaknesses

These vehicles, superb as they are, do have one weakness that can be annoying (and potentially expensive): They run out of fuel. Look at the fuel gauge in the lower left corner of your computer screen and you can see that it slowly empties as you use your vehicle. You have enough fuel to plow 150 squares of field. After that, you’re vehicle is running on empty and you only have two choices. You can either spend Farm cash to purchase refills or just wait 6.5 hours for your fuel tank to refill completely.

As always, the greatest bargain is buying the most refills—at 33 Farm Cash, you’re only spending .33 Farm Cash per refill. If you’re going to go this route, you might as well make the big investment and enjoy the greatest possible return. If you’re saving your cash, however, just wait for your tank to refill. You have to strategize if you have many crops going at once, so that your fuel tank has time to fill up for the succeeding harvest.

The Bottom Line

If you’re in this game for the win, you should have vehicles once you expand your farm multiple times. It’s really up to you how you control your fuel economy; make sure you always consider your goals for Farmville before buying something. Keep in mind, you don’t have to spend your coins to win this game, but at times it sure helps!
