So You Want To Play Homebrew Wii Games?

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Ever wonder how it’s possible for you to get more games for your Nintendo Wii without purchasing them one by one?  Even if you did get them from Amazon or ebay somewhere, you would still be paying a serious price for each game, particularly if they’re in demand.

Well, there’s a soluction to your problem which would solve this and would benefit you in alternative routes also which we’ll get to in a minute.  For now, lets just say you could change your wii so that you could download and play additional games at no additional cost to you.  Would you be interested?  Naturally you would.  But in addition to this, what if you could play N64, Sega Genesis, and imported games, would you be interested in this too?  Let me ask you another question before you reply that……would you have an interest in free downloads of flicks and music as well?

Unlocking Wii isn’t that difficult.  You’ve got to install an open-source software on your Wii called Homebrew channel.  Homebrew is a term given to video games and applications produced by consumers.  Let’s imagine you make a game that can be played on your Wii.  That would be considered a homebrew game.  Once you get the Wii Homebrew Channel, you’ll be able to launch homebrew games and programs that allow you to unlock Nintendo Wii features.  There are homebrew applications that allow you to play dvds, copy / backup games, and emulators to play Old Skool games.  You will only have to install Homebrew Channel once and you won’t have to open your Nintendo Wii to install it.

Since Wii homebrew apps includes emulators with all those files and folders necessary for unlocking wii, this would give you the ability to have access to various classic games of other consoles like GameCube, N64 and Sega Genesis games, and were not talking about 50 or 100 games here but you’ll be permitted access to more than two thousand free games after enabling HombreWare on your system.  So if you are into those games, games, games…you will be stuffed with it through this programme.

How To Unlock Your Wii

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Wii homebrew games are custom computer games created through the reuse of Nintendo’s Wii game console hardware, its accessories and software that were not intended by the manufacturer.  This commenced when people attempted to use the Wii Remote for running net-based games in the computer’s built-in internet browser or for use as a pointing device on other operating systems.

Not that long gone to be in a position to run Wii homebrew applications on your Wii you would physically change your Wii console with the utilization of a mod chip.  The mod chip would fundamentally avoid the console programming and let you run foreign code on your console.  While the Wii mod chip was wonderful reports for console owners it also meant that you would straight away void your warranty.

A big plus with running homebrew is that it also permits you to play backed up games and imported games on your Wii which is great if you have disks that you need to backup and store safely away.  Another benefit is that you can play Old Skool games that you wouldn’t be able to play on a Nintendo and these games themselves are freely available for download online.

With Homebrewinstaller, you can unlock your Wii without a mod chip.  This new product will show you how to run the Wii Homebrew application by safely unlocking your Wii.  This program uses a fool-proof methodology, so it can’t fail.  If you installed Wii homebrew, you can play each backed-up, imported and area coded game.  Along with dvd’s, you can also play games that were initially designed for other platforms, for example N64, SNES and Sega Genesis, by employing the homebrew emulator feature.  And the better part of this, is that it’s one hundred percent legal. Trust me, unlocking Wii will offer you so man yoptions, you won’t regret it!

All About Wii Homebrew

Friday, December 25th, 2009

If you play a lot of Wii games on your Wii console, you know that sometimes, your games will get scratches on them.  If this happens, your game will not run smoothly anymore, or sometimes it doesn’t even run at all .  A method to forestall this is by duplicating your games.  But without extra software, your Wii console won’t play copied disks.  Do you need the ability to copy your Wii games and play them om your Wii console?  How about playing dvd’s and running other software on your Wii? How to get Wii homebrew 4.0?

The difficult way is by installing a mod chip within the console.  But this may be very deadly if you do not know what your doing.  When installing a chip you have to open the console and mess around with the electronics and install the chip.  And by doing this you void the guaranty of your system.  So if you are not an expert you’ve a real risk of ruining it.  This is often a very costly risk by going this route.

Installing Wii Homebrew requires the employment of software exploits, since Nintendo designed the Wii game console to stop the utilization of unapproved software.  One of installing the channel on a Wii is by trying a bug in the signature verification of discs and a modchip.  An alternate way of installing this channel is by employing an exploit in the game “The Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess.  “Dubbed the “Twilight Hack” this exploit was developed by Team Twiizers, it is a specifically crafted game save copied from an SD card.

Wii’s Firmware version 4.0 has totally disabled this hack.  However the Twilight Hack currently runs on all Wii System Software versions apart from version 4.0.  Nintendo announced that as of December 2008, Wii updates will no longer take away the Homebrew Wii Channel if it is already there.
