Europe To See A PS3 White?

Monday, September 6th, 2010

With Christmas approaching increasingly rapidly, all the major console manufacturers have been upping their game in order to make sure they’re the number one gaming console for the festive period. Sony began earlier this year by slimming their PS3 down hugely, whilst Microsoft improved their Xbox 306 console with added features and built in wireless.

Onlookers expect the next move from Sony to be announcing the release of the PS3 Slim White, which has already been available in Japan for some time. Although Sony won’t confirm the speculation, one would imagine Sony are likely to make a move like this in a bid to be the top of the Christmas gifts.

Another thing that suggests Sony might be about to release the white PS3 in Europe is their announcement that the PS3 will enjoy larger hard drives, as they already do in Japan. At the moment, PS3 customers in Japan can get their consoles with 160GB or 320GB hard-drives, both of which are much bigger than the European counterparts.

A side-benefit of the new PS3’s from Sony includes the face that older PS3’s are extremely likely to drop in price, meaning they’ll be more affordable for those who simply can’t afford to spend hundreds of pounds on individual gifts. So if you have a young boy in the family and you’re after affordable gifts for him, just give it a few months and you should be able to pick up a much more reasonably priced PS3.

Sony haven’t released information regarding the prices, availability or release date of the new PS3 versions, choosing instead to simply confirm their release. Despite this, most onlookers are expecting the console to hit stores in time for Xmas 2010. In terms of how much the bigger capacity PS3 will cost, most are expecting the newer console to directly replace the old one in terms of price, with the older models dropping in RRP.

PS2 Systems - The Must Have Accessories

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

The PS2 was released in 2000, and has gone on to sell more than 70 million unites. It has competed against many other well known gaming consoles, yet still remains one of the best selling gaming machines of all time. The reasons for its success are partly because it is competitively priced, partly because of the great games available for it, and partly because of the many game enhancing accessories which can be used with it.

Of the accessories available for the PS2 console, these are the most popular…

Sony PS2 Multitap : Unlike the Xbox or GameCube, the PS2 only has two built in controller ports. However, by buying this PS2 accessory you can engage in a four player gaming session.

PS2 Dual Shock Controller : This controller provides a more spontaneous gaming experience, with pressure sensitivity on every action button plus an improved mobility of the analog. After using one, you will find it slightly boring to use the standard PS2 controller again.

PS2 DVD Remote Controller Kit : The PS2 is perfect for watching moves as well as playing games; but it does not come with a remote control, which means that playing, pausing or fast forwarding movies is a bit of a pain. This controller is basically for those people who hate having multiple remotes messing up their rooms. It can be used for both gaming and watching movies.

Sony PS2 Memory Card : Obviously you would always want to continue your game from where you would have left off. Sonys memory cards are the safest and trustworthy way to ensure that your game files does not get corrupted or lost.

Logitech PS2 Wireless Headset : This allows you to play games without getting tangled up in wires or waking up your family with loud game sounds. It will also help you to communicate with other online players. The Logitech Wireless headset is well built, with excellent sound quality.

R4 Nintendo DS - 5 Steps To Starting Our Right With Your R4 DS

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

If you don’t know what an R4 DS is, this quick run down will explain what it is. Want more details on the R4 DS Card? I would urge you to read all of my articles on the R4 DS card to get better aquinted with them.In my last articles and reviews I described in detail exactly what the R4 DS is and what it can do as well as how it works. If you’re looking for a complete feature and function run down for the R4 DS, I won’t be writing it all here, but you can visit www.{ps2cover.{com for a detailed feature and function list}~com for a detailed list of all of the features and functions~{com for a list of all of the features and functions}~{com for detailed lists of features and functions}~com for a list of features~com for a list of all functions~com for a detailed run down of all features and functions}. I would suggest that if you’re not quite sure as to what the R4 DS is, and what it can do, that you do some research on this truly unique Nintendo DS accessory.

In brief, the R4 DS is a slot 1 device that allows you to play homebrew games and applications, listen to Mp3 music, read e-books, watch movies, etc… on your NDS or DSi console. It turns your Nintendo DS system into a whole entertainment center, all for under .00

There are some quick and easy tips to follow. Some of the things I recommend may seem like no brainers, it did actually take me a week or so of using the R4 DS Card daily to figure out how to make my life a whole lot easier.

1. Store your game files in a directory on your microSD Card. Make a folder called games, and ONLY store your games in this folder. It makes navigating the menu much easier, and all of your save game files will also be origanized by default.

2. Try to orignize your MP3 files as well as Video files by creating a seperate directory for each one of them on the microSD memory card. This is something that is a must for anyone that has a lot of music where all of the songs are labeled TRACK 1, Track 2, etc..MP3 Music, Track 2.MP3, and more, etc….. By putting your files in seperate and different directories, you’ll at least have them organized because you can put all of your MP3 albums in individual directories so you’ll at least know that TRACK-1.MP3 in the TIESTO directory is from the newest and latest Tiesto album.

3. Try to backup your game saves to your PC hard drive on a regular basis. Not because you could lose your save games, but you may want to try a level again to get a better score without having to start from the start again. Why should you backup and keep your current files in a folder on your PC? MicroSD cards are small, and as a result are also easily lost. You should always keep your games saves on your HDD as well as the card itself. While this one really seems like an obvious hint, you would be surprised to know that most of our technical support emails for the R4 DS deal with how to get back erased or deleted game saves that were not backed up. I recommend doing this at LEAST once a week, more if you play your games more frequently.

4. Don’t take out the R4 DS from the Nintendo DS console each time you want to add files to the microSD Card. Just push the microSD card and it will pop of out the slot in the r4 ds card. Use the included microSD card reader / writer to change your games, music and movie files or add more to your collection on your microSD card.

5. This final and last tip may be obvious. And it handles the Micro SD card in the R4DS card slot. When you put the Nintendo DS or DS Lite into your pocket or pick it up. Take a moment to check again as to whether or not the microSD card is in the R4DS card. Make sure that the microSD card is in the card slot of the R4DS and it’s not loose or ready to pop out. It’s very rare for the microSD card to pop outon its own… but that does not mean you should not be careful because it can happen. There would be nothing worse than losing your microSD card somewhere, because it popped out and fell on the ground. As you may know, microSD cards are very small, and if you lost one, you’ll have a really tough time finding it, unless you want to get a new one. I suggest always carrying your NDS in a case to make sure you do not lose your R4 DS card. A case makes it much less likely that you’re r4 ds card will get lost. Make this something you do before you even power on.

The r4 DS allows you to power up your NDS by allowing you to run homebrew game and applications as well as watch movies, read ebooks, and more. It lets you watch movies on your NDS, DS Lite and DSi as well as play MP3 Music. What the R4 DS does is take your Nintendo DS from just being a game system to becoming a full entertainment center by allowing you to watch movies read ebooks, listen to mp3’s and much more. Sony Playstation Eye: Advancement or Catch Up?

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Just recently, at the yearly Electronic Entertainment Expo conference, Sony presented what they refer to as the Sony Playstation Eye. Sensing deja vu? You may be thinking back to Sony’s EyeToy, a device for the Playstation 2 that allowed for the identification of the real time movements of the gamer. The Eye augments this notion in certain very fascinating ways, however they are not completely unseen ones. That being said, it is increasingly hard to fathom just to what extent this product will actually change the console world, if it can.

For any who missed the Electronic Entertainment Expo, perhaps the leading features of  Sony Playstation Eye is its motion sensing. Just how sensing is achieved is via the regnition of the sensitive orb at the edge of the control distributed for the Eye. Sony’s representatives proceeded to show a live demonstration of the hardware’s possibilities, utilizing the remote to function with a 3D interface within the TV screen and demonstrating how the could be integrated in genres like first-person shooters, real-time strategy, and also action. Every movement the player makes with the remote control is projected onscreen with 1:1 precision.

But see, does not that ring any bells? At last year’s E3, Nintendo accomplished the exact same presentation using their Wii Motion Plus peripheral. It also recognises and copies actions at 1 to 1 precision. The only clear disparity amid the two peripherals is that the Sony Playstation Eye needs an augmented type of the EyeToy camera to track the remotes, but Nintendo’s Wii Motion Plus hooks up to an independent sensor bar without cables. It seems Sony’s newest attempt appears not so cutting edge next to the year old technology of Nintendo.

Whilst following in the footsteps of existing ideas, the Eye remains an extraordinary example of hardware that is guarenteed to bring pleasure to most every fan of the PlayStation 3. Although it won’t drastically affect the world of game playing totally, the Sony Playstation Eye accomplishes a good advance for Sony’s empire, and will possibly help the developers catch up regarding improvement.

Using Game Cheats while Playing Games

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Game Cheats can be an great way to enjoy games. I employ game cheats, if i think that the game isn’t exciting anymore. If I am playing against an AI, I don’t have any headaches exercising game cheat codes. Anyone that uses game cheats while playing multiplayer games is destroying everyone else’s venture. As I apply game cheats in individualplayer games, to a few it might seem hypocritical for me to disapprovetheir use in multiplayer games. Due to satisfaction people get when utilizing cheats in individual player games, a lot of people extend that usage to multiplayer games, and wreck everyone else’s gaming adventure.

In the good old days of Sega, Sega commanded a large market share for gaming consoles, and in fact I myself played sega saturn when I came back from school. Even though Sega consoles became obsolete, the cartidges used in the gaming systems are cool even now, and I wish they brought it back. Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, and Mega Drive were some of the consoles that were produced by Sega when it was a gaming hardware builder. I was a proud owner of Sega Saturn, but Dreamcast was the most prevalent console released by Sega.

When I was a kid, I didn’t know sega had any cheat codes, and I am quite frankly not sure if it does even now, I am talking about Sega Saturn though. Cheats are so sought out by gamers, that there are thousands of websites that cater exclusively to cheats. To make your gaming experience more satisfactory, Sega genesis cheats can do that for you. Sometimes games can get tedious, and you just want to skip them and move to better parts. If the game is too challening or restricting, use of game cheat codes can help make the adventure much better. I have one simple rule while playing multiplayer games, don’t employ cheats. None whatsoever. With the gaming adventure of others ruined, you might find few players willing to play with you or you getting kicked out because of video game cheat codes.
